The Cinta Manis fruit orchard

24 acres.
One living landscape.

The story starts with 12 acres of durian orchard, land that had quietly produced fruit for decades. What began as 12 acres gradually expanded to 18, then eventually to 24 acres. This growth wasn’t driven by haste or market pressure, but by careful planning and deep consideration for the natural environment. Each expansion integrated seamlessly with what already existed.

The swimming pool follows the natural contours of the land. Walkways wind between mature trees. Guest accommodations are positioned to maximize both privacy and connection with the surrounding greenery. The original durian and fruit orchards remain productive elements of the landscape today.

Our fruit orchard.

At dawn, our orchard wakes slowly. Mist lifts from the earth, birds trace invisible paths between branches, and the air carries a perfume only fruit trees can make: green, sweet, alive. This is not just land planted with trees. This is a living calendar.

Durian trees stand like quiet kings, their broad leaves catching the light. Banana plants whisper in the breeze, while pineapples glow low to the ground like buried treasure. Vines of passion fruit climb patiently, dragon fruit flowers bloom like moonlit miracles, and mangosteen trees wait, never rushed, always precise.

Our orchard is home to a wide variety of tropical and temperate fruit trees, grown naturally in a peaceful farm environment: durian, nangka, cempedak, dragon fruit, passion fruit, jambu air, rambutan, coconut, limau, manggis, soursop, pomelo, blueberry, pineapple, banana and many more. Each fruit grows in its own season, making our farm productive throughout the year. We take pride in caring for our trees with patience and respect for the land, allowing every fruit to ripen naturally and reach its best quality.

  • Durian

May to August (peak), sometimes November to January

The king of fruits dominates the orchard during its season. Thick husks hide golden flesh, rich, creamy, unforgettable. When durians fall naturally, we know the season has truly arrived.

  • Nangka (Jackfruit)

    Year-round, peak March to August

Heavy fruits hang directly from the trunk. Sweet, fragrant bulbs surround large seeds. A reliable fruit, generous and bold, feeding both families and communities.

  • Cempedak

    June to August

Softer and more aromatic than jackfruit. When ripe, its scent travels far. Fried or eaten fresh, cempedak marks the heart of mid-year abundance.

  • Dragon Fruit

    May to October

Blooming at night, harvested by day. Bright pink skin and speckled flesh make this fruit a visual jewel. Multiple harvests occur throughout the season.

  • Passion Fruit

    Year-round, peak June to November

Vines climb fences and trellises, producing wrinkled fruits filled with golden pulp, tart, fragrant, refreshing. A perfect balance to sweeter fruits.

  • Jambu Air (Water Apple)

    Year-round, peak March to July

Crisp, juicy and cooling. Best eaten fresh on hot days. Trees flower and fruit generously with proper care.

  • Rambutan

    June to August, sometimes December

Red and hairy on the outside, sweet and translucent inside. Rambutan season turns the orchard playful and festive.

  • Coconut

    Year-round

The backbone of the farm. Young coconuts refresh, mature ones nourish. Every stage of growth has a purpose.

  • Limau (Lime)

    Year-round

Small, powerful, essential. Used in drinks, cooking and medicine. Lime trees quietly provide consistency throughout the year.

  • Manggis (Mangosteen)

    June to August

The queen of fruits. Delicate, sweet, floral. Trees take years to mature but reward patience with unmatched elegance.

  • Soursop

    Year-round, peak February to September

Large, spiky fruit with creamy, tangy flesh. Used fresh, blended or medicinally. A fruit of wellness and tradition.

  • Pomelo

    February to May

Large citrus with mild sweetness and low acidity. Thick rind protects juicy segments, perfect for sharing.

  • Blueberry

    Often June to August

Small but powerful. Rich in antioxidants, adding a modern contrast to traditional tropical fruits.

  • Pineapple

    Year-round, peak March to July

Grown close to the soil, sun-loving and bold. Sweet-tart flavor that defines tropical freshness.

  • Banana

    Year-round

Always present. From cooking bananas to sweet dessert varieties, bananas feed the orchard rhythm without pause.

Some places are built quickly. Others are allowed to grow.

A vision shaped by time and nature

Nestled among the rolling hills of Bentong, Pahang, Cinta Manis Eco Resort began with something simple yet profound: respect for the land that came before.

Origins in the orchard

The story starts with 12 acres of durian orchard, land that had quietly produced fruit for decades. When Dato Sri’ Foo first acquired this property, he saw beyond the immediate possibilities. Rather than clear and rebuild, he chose a different path, one that would honor both the existing landscape and his long-term vision.

What began as 12 acres gradually expanded to 18, then eventually to 24 acres. This growth wasn’t driven by haste or market pressure, but by careful planning and deep consideration for the natural environment. Each expansion integrated seamlessly with what already existed.

Personal leadership and development

From concept to completion, every aspect of the resort’s development remained under Dato Sri’ Foo’s direct supervision. Working alongside his experienced team, he personally oversaw construction planning, infrastructure development, electrical systems, water management and architectural decisions.

Rather than working from distant offices, decisions were made on-site. The terrain guided the placement of buildings. Existing trees influenced the routing of pathways. The natural flow of the land determined where facilities would emerge.

Cinta Manis Eco Resort grounds

Integration of purpose

Today’s 24-acre property reflects this thoughtful approach. The original durian and fruit orchards remain productive elements of the landscape, now complemented by resort accommodations, recreational facilities and outdoor adventure features including team-building areas and flying fox installations. Each addition was introduced with consideration for the existing environment. New elements enhance rather than overwhelm the natural setting.

A living landscape

The swimming pool follows the natural contours of the land. Walkways wind between mature trees. Guest accommodations are positioned to maximize both privacy and connection with the surrounding greenery.

Philosophy in practice

Cinta Manis Eco Resort stands as an example of patient development, a property shaped not by rapid construction timelines, but by consistent vision, careful supervision and enduring respect for the original landscape. The resort today offers guests more than accommodation. It provides an experience rooted in the understanding that the most meaningful places grow gradually, guided by a vision that respects what came before while building thoughtfully toward the future.

“Where the durian trees that started it all continue to thrive alongside the dreams they helped nurture.”

Team building at Cinta Manis

Bring the team somewhere different.

Cinta Manis is a place where teams can disconnect from the office and reconnect with each other, with an obstacle course, rock climbing and abseiling, and a flying fox, each run with a coach or instructor booked in advance.
